The objective is to hold the stein with one arm extended straight in front of the body at approximately shoulder height for as long as possible.
1. A 30oz stein (Stanley tumbler with handle) will be used for the competition. Both men and women will use the same stein, filled with water. The filled tumbler is about 3 pounds.
2. Participant is given stein and is allowed to choose which arm they will use.
3. On the facilitator's signal, participant holds the stein straight out in front of their body at approximately shoulder height. Facilitator starts timer.
4. Facilitator stops timer when: participant's arm drops below shoulder height, elbow bends significantly, participant requests to stop, or if facilitator determines participant needs to stop due to safety.
5. Facilitator records participant time on their organization's score sheet.
6. The winners will be longest hold by male and female at each organization.
